I was born in Alcegiras in 1982. I grew up within a great musical diversity ambience; there are so many members in my family who are related with it on one way or another. At home there was always a record playing or someone singing. My interest for drums started soon, when I was around two. It seems to be that I used to slip in during my uncle's group practicing and sit at the drum set they had there. That interest continued there, but it's not until later, at the age of ten, when I wanted to play seriously, and made my uncle lend me his SIMMONS, the electric drum set of the 80's per excellence. It was an electronic kit that couldn't even amplify, but it was the same if I was able to play. So I used to spend full evenings in my bedroom playing over any kind of record I could find, from Spin doctors to Queen. When I was 11 I started to get private music language classes, reading, piano and harmony with Chico Valdivia, who started to show me how to analyze and understand music.

At 14 I assembled my first band with some friends to play covers of every kind of music, from pop to heavy metal, going through several songwriters. They were nice years full of friendship and good moments. I got my first acoustic drum set, a Worldmax which made a good performance for years; I accompanied her with one of my favorite snare drums up to day: the authentic Honsuy metal snare drum, with which I have recorded one or two things. I also collaborated sporadically with the group Salvemos al Panda. We used to make a weird mix of funky, flamenco and rock, but, over everything else, we used to have a great time. With them I did several concerts and a demo.

In 1998, I joined the band Cerco de Sombra, which suffered several lineup changes and with whom I also recorded several demos, an acoustic record, and, what would be the project of a studio record that never saw the light. With them I played a very dark rock, loaded with pessimism, with very interesting instrumentation, fruit of the combination of great musicians who shred this period with me, and to whom I keep deep appreciation. Practically at the same time, I entered the Alcegiras music band, with my friend Julio Tejada. It was an interesting experience, or at least interesting, full of personal and musical highs and lows.

In 2000, alter finishing my secondary education, Cerco de sombra broke up and I joined some friends from the band to play Latin jazz. We managed to get paid for playing at a hotel in Tarifa and called ourselves Bibirose, honoring to waitresses of the hotel cafeteria. We gave plenty of concerts around the region, and basically we learnt so much and had a great time.

At the same time, I contacted Juan de la Oliva to receive private drumming classes in a more serious way, now with the idea of becoming a professional. These classes forced me to travel every Thursday at 6:30 am to Sevilla, receive a class and come back, suffering that finally ended when I moved there in 2001 to study percussion at the conservatory, registering directly in the middle level after a test. I spend over one year there, but I couldn't help the ambience at the classes.

From that point I started to play with anyone I could, first with Surmania Orchestra, and then with artists of the flamenco world like Los del Río, Los Marismeños, Marta Quintero, or Diego Benjumea.

In 2003 I joined the heavy metal band Ira Regia, with whom I recorded the demo "Capitulo Final". We also gave several concerts and, in general, we spent great moments and still keep our friendship (they are great, I recommend you to listen to them). At the same time, I made several performances with group Metropolis doing covers of groups like Tool, Dream Theater, Fates Warning, or Liquid Tension Experiment.

In 2004, alter two previous participations, I entered the Eurodrummer National Contest in Madrid, with other 4 Spanish drummers (including my very good friends Fran Hurtado and Antonio Torres), ending in first position. Even though it could seem otherwise, that contest did not open any door within the music world for me and I kept doing minor tours around Andalucia, with musicians like Gualberto (guitar player from the legendary band Smash) and higher level ones like "Coplas en la Noche", around Castilla and León.

In September 2004, thanks to my great friend Fidel Cordero, I started to work as an integrant of Antonio Romero's group in the program "El Debate de Gran Hermano", in Tele5. It was an equally enriching and surrealist experience. After 5 months being part of the show I definitely moved to Madrid and started touring with Antonio, combining this activity with some Pepe Gómez's, former integrant of the Marismeños, presentations. Thanks to the great drummer José Mena I made contact with guitarist Jorge Salán to be part of his live band, with which I keep playing every time we're allowed to. That same summer I joined the band with Bertín Osborne under the direction of Franco Castellani. For those skeptics, a fantastic tour with a great assembly, a spectacular band, and a more than entertaining repertoire which combines rock, ballads, Latin music, and of course, rancheras. Highly recommendable concerts to go.

In March, 2006, I receive a call from Pepe Herrero. He told me that two members of the band Stravaganzza had dropped and that our mutual friend BIGSIMON, had given him my number. We agreed to meet that same afternoon at a Mozart concert, which we couldn't enter, by the way, and we ended up talking about music with some beers. Days later, we agreed to play with Patricio Babasasa at the bass, and... the rest is history.

By now, I am sharing Stravaganzza with Jorge Salán's and Bertín's concerts, recording sessions, private drumming teaching, time to time collaborations with other groups like Dark Moor, and doing clinics on technique and tuning, collaborating with Yamaha.

Most importantly of all I wouldn't have travelled to this point without the unconditional support of my parents, who went through the pain of listening to me playing and carrying me to rehearsal at the age of 13. They have never lost their faith on me and they have known how to help me in my worst moments. They're just the best.
