I was born in Madrid on a stormy night in 1976. Besides singing with my siblings at home,
I never paid much attention to music until some time later.
Suddenly one day, I just felt like playing the drums, for disgrace of my mother
and siblings, and I haven't stopped playing ever since. I decided to study a little
and went through music teaching but, since the musician cannot only live out of studying,
I started to play metal with Krysálida (with Pepe and Leo) funky with Jungla Sonora
(with José and Ed, founders of Mama Funko), more metal with Azabel (with Edu, Leo,
Lorena from Hellend, and Miguel from Human Mincer), pop with Chiky no Paga and also
singing with the university chorals pieces from Schubert, Verdi, or Mozart, among others.
But I was not only playing. Between hours I made my first "formal" recordings
with anyone who would ask, like Vladimir Buffalo and some other singing-authors.
I continued with my education with professors such as Pau Martínez, José M. López,
and I even attended a flamenco seminar by Enrique de Melchor and José Mercé. But let's
be honest, what I like is playing, so I have also played with Synapsick, DEP, Inercia...
A couple of years ago I recorded a Reggae record with an English group called Makating,
with sax player Chebbi Salim. When I came back, I played the role of choral director
and bass player for a staging of Jesus Christ Superstar. There I coincided with Pepe
and other old friends, and was given the chance to join with Stravaganzza. I didn't
even think about it, (well, a little) and so... Long live metal.
